I was watching a documentary recently that included survey results of people who participate in online dating. Women said their #1 fear is that they’ll meet a serial killer. Men’s #1 fear is that they’ll meet someone who is fat. Really?
Clearly, and unfortunately, weight stigma is alive and well in our world! That’s why I’m pleased to be a “Featured Blogger” in BEDA’s annual “Weight Stigma Awareness Week” September 23-17, 2013. Click here to read my article, Where There’s Weight Stigma, “Weight” and “Health” Get All Mixed Up!
A full week of online activities begin today on Facebook and on the BEDA Website.
Get involved with us! Use your voice. Take a stand. The self-esteem you boost may be your own!
