Freedom from Emotional Eating, Food & Weight Obsession

August 1st, 2010 is “Be Body Positive Day”

I can’t think of anything more loving than celebrating and participating in Be Body Positive Day!

The Body Positive

The Body Positive Founders Connie Sobczak and Elizabeth Scott, LCSW, encourage everyone to

“…do something that makes you feel terrific about your body.”

Examples of what they suggest we do:
-Replace critical comments about your body with kind words
-Make a beautiful meal filled with vibrant colors for your favorite people.
-Go for a walk with a good friend.
-Spend the day resting with a book, or watching a favorite movie.
-Exercise your body purely for the joy of movement.

Sign the Be Body Positive Day petition here.   http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/be-body-positive

Please share your ideas–how are you going to participate in “Be Body Positive Day”?

About Ellen Shuman

Ellen on the phone

I have worked in the Wellness Field for 30 years. I created an Emotional Eating & Binge Eating Disorder Recovery Program way before most people knew BED was an eating disorder, NOT a “willpower” issue. Personally, I suffered for years before finding answers and the help I needed and deserved! I became a Coach in 1997 to help others who were still suffering as I had. I love being a Coach!
