Freedom from Emotional Eating, Food & Weight Obsession

Are These 30 Habits Negatively Impacting Your Life?

Little girl smelling flower mindfull ivingTraci, my Virtual Assistant (she steps in whenever I’m feeling technically challenged, which is pretty often), just posted this great article on Facebook, “30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself” (Originally published in a blog called Marc & Angel Hack Life)

From the list, here are my biggest stumbling blocks…all three are connected and show up regularly in my professional life.

#12. Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.

#21. Stop doing the same things over and over without taking a break. – The time to take a deep breath is when you don’t have time for it. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting. Sometimes you need to distance yourself to see things clearly.

#23. Stop trying to make things perfect. – The real world doesn’t reward perfectionists, it rewards people who get things done.

How about you? What keeps you stuck?

Great reminder to stop and pay attention to useless, old, self-defeating habits…read the full article here, 30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself.

About Ellen Shuman

Ellen on the phone

I have worked in the Wellness Field for 30 years. I created an Emotional Eating & Binge Eating Disorder Recovery Program way before most people knew BED was an eating disorder, NOT a “willpower” issue. Personally, I suffered for years before finding answers and the help I needed and deserved! I became a Coach in 1997 to help others who were still suffering as I had. I love being a Coach!
