Being in your body…

I really do love “being in my body.”

For those of my clients who do not have this experience this is a foreign concept. They respond with a confused expressions or nods of disbelief. When they ask me what this means I find it challenging to offer them a fluid coherent response. How does one describe a delicious felt sense of being, moving and living?

It is a process of being in relationship with your body that is unique and always changing. It is about being ever present in the moment; the embrace of physical and emotional consciousness. This consciousness provides you with the data that supports your authentic body/self. Sometimes it will be about action. Other times it will be about understanding. It could be about stillness or movement.

Being in your body is about feeling the feelings. It is an ability to breathe with and through often challenging feelings like anger and fear as well as to rejoice and celebrate joy and love. It is about acceptance of
