Life After Emotional & Binge Eating

“I Deserve To Binge.”

Many years ago a client told me she binged because she felt she “deserved to binge”. That was the only way she knew to give to herself, to take care of her emotional needs.

She worked hard on her recovery. Then one day she knocked on my office door. She couldn’t wait to share her new insight. With a peaceful look on her face and a smile she said, “I get it now. I deserve NOT to binge.”

  1. I just tweeted this post – so simple yet so important. While bingeing might feel good for a moment, it hurts us in the long run. We deserve to take care of ourselves!
